Patriot Pies & Provisions is a veteran-owned bakery founded by Lance Nickel, a retired Army veteran. Lance completed multiple combat deployments overseas and was injured during his service. After being medically retired, he struggled with the transition to civilian life.
Lance learned to bake as a child in his grandmother's kitchen. After leaving the military, baking became a way to heal—and a way to show people he cares by creating something with his hands that brings joy to others.
Today, every product is handmade from scratch in La Grange, Texas. Rooster, Lance's service dog, and Lilo, a Golden Retriever, serve as the official quality control team.
Products sold help fund a veteran nonprofit that Lance is launching. The nonprofit will provide two programs: adventure therapy through sailing and career training to help veterans transition into meaningful jobs in maritime and culinary industries.
Because veterans don't just need therapy. They need purpose, income, and a mission.
